Dojiva About

About us

do - jiv - va (do jiva)

The way of the individual being or soul.

Our underlying philosophy is that the body has a wisdom that we can access through movement, fitness, and bodywork.  A physical connection with the present moment decreases tension, enhances our spirit and allows for a deep way of healing.

We work with people of all ages and physical abilities to find greater ease in work, rest and play.

We coach athletes to cultivate their strengths and their edge which is unique to them.

We work with injuries and physical challenges that at times can seem unsurpassable.

We help and encourage children to discover lifelong healthy practices.

Our dedication is to continue to explore new ways of helping people step into their body’s wisdom.

topDanny Bridgeman
Danny has 20 years experience as a personal fitness trainer and martial arts teacher. He is one of only six certified Aston-Patterning® practitioners in the UK, bringing together fitness, Pilates, massage and ergonomics.

Within his classes and through example, Danny encourages each individual to explore their body’s inherent strength and fluidity.

His passion for keeping fit and healthy began aged 10 when he joined the local karate club and his drive for promoting dynamic health and fitness continues with his current teachings.

Having graduated in the Science and Management of Health & Fitness (1993), he set up his own business as a personal trainer, group fitness instructor, massage therapist and karate teacher. Between 1993 to 1999 Danny worked at a variety of fitness centres and health clubs as a personal trainer and fitness manager.

He began studying Pilates in 1999 with The Pilates Institute, then subsequently trained with Alan Herdman and in 2003 he certified in Aston® Pilates. To date he has taught around 8000 Pilates classes!

More recently Danny qualified as a Kundalini Yoga Teacher with SKY and teaches weekly classes at the Ramada Hotel in Farnham.   Kundalini is the oldest form of yoga and its effects are fast acting and very supportive during these changing and challenging times.  It involves meditation, pranayama (breath work), asanas (exercises), chanting and philosophy to help us understand a deeper meaning of who we are and our life's purpose.

Certified BodyTalk Practitioner

Graduate of Brenneke School of Massage, Seattle WA

Kimba has been helping people connect more deeply with their bodies through movement, fitness and bodywork for the last 13 years.

In private and group sessions, her focus is on increasing the awareness of the body, mind and spirit as a way toward discovering new possibilities for strength and ease. She inspires her clients to become curious about their bodies and to discover their own choices for support that come from within.

Her fascination with movement began in childhood through dance and performance. Drawn to the beauty and intensity of classical technique, she trained as a professional ballet dancer in NYC at the School of American Ballet. Dance was her introduction and inspiration for the subsequent intensive studies in Pilates, Aston-Patterning, Franklin Method, Anthropology, Massage and BodyTalk.

She is a co-author with Judith Aston and Kimberly Ross in their first of a series of Aston-Patterning books, Moving Beyond Posture.
