Sports Conditioning

In athletics, when you work cooperatively with your body each movement is more efficient and your inherent power is more readily accessed.

We work with athletes and their coaches who are looking for complimentary training to their current regimes. Our focus is on enhancing the athlete’s working understanding of their body so they can listen to their own body’s wisdom.

Combining the sport’s demands with the body’s bio-mechanics, we help athletes become more aware of how to prevent injuries and increase the longevity of their careers.

We integrate movement analysis, specific whole body training, bodywork, visualization and goal setting techniques to improve flexibility, speed, strength, and fluidity.

 

Examples of applications:

  • We teach golfers to release tension in their body which helps increase range of motion and ease for a more powerful swing.
  • For contact sports, we help clients find effective ways to restore their bodies between games and bouts.
  • For track and field athletes, we help them discover new ways of moving their whole body cooperatively so that no one part holds them back.
  • We work with racket players to help them access the 3 - dimensionality of their body to improve the efficiency of each shot.
  • With horse riders we help them fine-tune their movements through anatomical education and movement awareness to enhance rider to horse communication.
